What a memorial meal costs in Iași
The menu starts at 30 lei per person and goes up to 40, depending on what goes on the table. Below is what that figure covers and what is settled separately.
The range
30–40 lei per person, for the menu
We don't have fixed packages, so there is no single price. The figure moves between the two ends depending on how many courses there are, whether the meal is lenten or not, and how many of you there are. A short menu — starter, soup, one main course, colivă and colaci — sits near 30. One with more courses and dessert, near 40.
How many courses
The biggest factor. Starter, soup, main course, colivă and colaci is the base. Every extra course — a second main, dessert — raises the price per person.
Lenten or not
It isn't a rule that one costs more than the other. It depends on the dishes: lenten sarmale with mushrooms and fish can cost as much as a roast.
How many of you
With more portions, the price per person drops slightly — it's cooked in one batch, not twice.
In our room or delivered
If the meal is held here, setting the room, tableware and serving are included. If we cook and deliver elsewhere, that's discussed separately when we quote.

What the figure above covers
When the meal is held in our room, everything below is already counted in the price per person. It doesn't appear as separate lines on the bill.

Settled separately
What isn't included and is discussed when we quote
Not so surprises appear on the bill, but because they depend on what you choose. They're settled over the phone, along with the menu.
Drinks
You can bring your own or we can supply them. Tell us which you prefer and we'll price it accordingly.
Delivery elsewhere
If the meal is held at home or at another venue, we cook and deliver. The address and time are discussed when we quote.
Special requests
A particular dish, more colaci than usual, packages beyond the number of guests — these get added to the composition.

What families ask us about money
Can the price change after we've agreed?
No. You call us, we give you the figure for your case, and it stays the same. If you change the menu or the number of people, we recalculate together, but no costs appear that we haven't discussed.
Why isn't there a fixed price on the site?
Because the menu is composed, not picked off a list. A single price would mean either that you pay for courses you don't want, or that the figure on the site isn't the real one. The range above is honest: it shows you where you'd land before you call.
How is payment made?
It's settled when we quote, along with everything else. Tell us which option suits you.
Are colivă and colaci charged separately?
No, they're part of what we prepare. You tell us how many colaci are needed and for whom.
What happens to the food left over?
It stays yours. Packages for those who can't stay are prepared in advance anyway, so people can take them as they leave.
